This sata usb adapter is defective.

Tried on 2 different usb ss ports on a good laptop with updated drivers.

When using this new sata usb adapter, the indicator lights light up, but the hdd plugged into it does not show up in this pc.

Same hdd shows up perfect when using older sata usb adapter.

This adapter is about 5 mm thinner than the old working version, otherwise they look identical.

Pics are of hdd using old adapter and then this new adapter -- all other variables identical.

It has not worked correctly

Everything is good, but there is no additional power, so the data is not visible due to insufficient power supply.
The item arrived properly.
For those using it like an external HDD, we recommend purchasing one with a power supply.

Can not figure out getting the drive to be viewable

It works good. Shipping was fast. Used it on a 2.5 laptop drive

Transferred three files totaling about 100 gigabytes. No errors

Unit does not work, tried every known good drive i have and none worked.

This is actually a great. My computer stopped recognizing one of my drives completely. I tried putting in in enclosure i had, and also nothing.. as if it wasn't there at all.



I didn't have much hope but i plugged it into this simple cable, and it showed up! I couldn't mount it since it was corrupt, but was able to make an image of the drive and recover files from it with no issue. Super impressive since the other things couldn't tell it existed when i plugged it in!

The device does not work, neither the laptop nor the TV sees the HDD.

Unfortunately, this product never reached my hands.

Its not working on 3,5 sata

I bought for these so far and they all work exponentially well for a 2.5 inch drives. They will not work for 3.5 inch drive as the 3.5 inch drives need a external power.
